DoctorLink provides the ability to seek clinically approved medical advice around the clock. This helps to reduce unnecessary surgery appointments, getting patients to the right place for their clinical need. DoctorLink will provide advice on how to best manage your symptoms.
How does it work?
For all urgent appointments, we ask that you undertake a symptom assessment through DoctorLink.
The symptom checker will ask you a number of questions to help to identify your problem and the outcome of your assessment will direct you to the right treatment, whether emergency care, your GP, nurse or self care.
The practice will also receive a copy of the symptom assessment highlighting the required action needed and the information you provide will be shared, where appropriate, with our clinical team.
Once the request has been submitted you may be contacted by the Practice Team to arrange an appointment within the identified timeframe as outlined in the outcome of your symptom checker.
- DoctorLink is not connected to your patient record so information about you is not being shared with DoctorLink.
- You can continue to ring the surgery to see a GP or another member of the clinical team as normal.
