Parson Drove surgery have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly, hardworking and patient focused practice.

We are a small practice with a large patient base spread over the beautiful villages of Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire on the outskirts of the vibrant city of Peterborough.

Our ethos is that we focus on high quality patient care with an holistic approach in improving the health needs of our local community.

We are looking for the right person to join our collaborative team which includes three GP’s, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and a successful nursing team who are supported by a number of dedicated administrative departments.

We are looking for a team player with the enthusiasm to make a difference to our practice and patients.

We are CQC Good, however are looking for the right candidate to have a real interest in moving things forward to help achieve CQC outstanding

 

Main duties of the job

 

We are looking for a motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner to undertake a variety of duties including surgery face to face consultations, telephone triage, duty doctor, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients in their own home, be an independent prescriber, dealing with day to day queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.

Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, eg prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety.

A commitment to life long learning and audit to ensure evidence based best practice.

 

Overview of your organisation

 

There has been a Doctors surgery in the pretty rural village of Parson Drove for over 100 years.

The present surgery is situated in purpose built premises opened in April 1997.

The practice serves a population of around 7000

The practice is close to the towns of Peterborough, Kings Lynn and Wisbech.

Our mission statement is to provide high quality care, in a caring, responsive, supportive and courteous manner.

We have a hard working and dedicated team of support staff.

We are part of an active PCN group working collaboratively with the three other local practices which forms the Wisbech Primary Care Network.

We are a small but growing practice with a view to premises expansion in the future to meet the demands of an ever changing NHS and expanding villages.
